Well it wasn’t bad, just that I was asked a lot of questions and some were personal lol. CO told me I would have gotten my visa if I had its transcripts, I only went with federal tax returns. It’s very strict and some questions are repeated to see if you’ll have the same answers

Interview went smoothly. The US citizen was not allowed inside the embassy. The visa applicants waited outside until all the immigrant visa applicants for that time slot were called to the door. They did an initial prescreening to make sure all the documents were in place. The applicant's interview took around 5 minutes and was out within an hour or so of entering. Two days later, we received an email stating to make an appointment to pick up the passport with the visa. We picked it up one week after the interview.

My fiance had a very short interview at the Ghana embassy where he was told our relationship was fake(only asked my name, occupation and address) as well as his divorce paper wasn’t the original. He went and paid money at the court to have an affidavit of divorce because it was a dowry marriage. Funny how his pre-screening interview approved paperwork but declined at the interview. Why have a pre-screening if 2nd person doesn’t agree with approved documents from pre-screening person? The consular was more concerned of knowing a hotel name he stayed in Togo during business travel. He was denied his visa despite me being in Ghana 3 times, have bought land in Ghana to build our house after marriage in the US, and had numerous picture/calls of our relationship. So heart-wrenching to know that 1 consular can flip your whole life upside down after waiting almost 2 years to be together. So UNFAIR!!!
