My interview was scheduled for 10:30. I got to the embassy around 10:05,
and the first thing I had to do was to go through a security check.
I had to leave my bag and phone in there. Then I was told to go to the waiting area, where I had to take a number. It took about 10-15 minutes until my number was called and I had to go to the desk to give them the documents that I had brought with me, then I was told to have a seat and wait while they go through them. It took another 10-15 minutes until
I was called back to the desk (different person this time) for my actual interview.

I contacted the consulate about changing the date of my interview, and they were extremely accommodating and nice about it. I ended up having my interview at Kaisaniemi the week before they were moving back to Kaivopuisto. I went there just 5 minutes before my scheduled time and was buzzed in immediately. As has been said previously, the wait after that was long and we were all kept in the hallway. I'd say there were close to 10 of us there. One by one we were called in - me being the last one. Inside I went through security and was escorted to a waiting area. There were still a couple of people there waiting. I got called up to be fingerprinted and then sent back to wait again. I ended up being the last one to be called up to actually have my interview, and that wait was a wee bit unpleasant as the waiting area felt like a fish tank with all eyes on me. Anyway, I got to talk to a super nice lady who asked me some pretty basic questions. The interview was over in probably five minutes ... read complete review
