Interview was very smooth. Despite the long line for other types of Visa, the K-1 only had about 3 other people in it. It took a while for them to be processed after passing through security. Initially went to window #5, where we delivered the paperwork. That portion took about 5 minutes. We then waited until being called for the "interview". The interview consisted of the following. "What is your name?" "Where are you going to live?" "Is everything true in this packet?" It was then approved and we were out of there. The embassy staff was very professional and courteous.

The interview went GREAT! ! ! Very easy - the only hiccup was that I don't remember in the instructions where we had to have 2 copies of the i156 form. That led to a 7am mad dash to the copier a block away. That said - we were in by 7:05am, waited about 40 minutes for the first paper check (lasted 3 minutes) and another 30 minutes for the interview (took less than 5 minutes). We were out by 9:30am! (Also helped that it didn't rain and was a beautiful day!) Tiny tip - when we arrived the line looked HUGE but that was for the other visa lines - ours was right at the gate entrance and only 2 people deep when we got there (6:50am) so make sure you are in the right line!

Our experience with the whole process in general is that it works as efficiently as possible. A special comment that my fiancée made about the exam with Dr. Dennis was that he is a true gentleman, friendly, caring, respectful and a real professional, and this coming from a Paisa to boot says something about her exam experience with this doctor!

Our interview experience was organized, VERY curteous gentleman conducting our interview, their few questions were simply answered and by the questions asked I can highly sense that they are trained to observe and feel out any irregularities, we were APPROVED and out the door by 10:15 AM.

Not to much new information to add to others experience than what has already been written here-in.

They did request that we turn in Part 1 of form DS-230 which took about 30 minutes to do in the waiting area.

All in all the interview process was a solid 9 out of 10 with everyone that we interacted wi... read complete review

- Left the Hotel Casa Sarita a bit late, approx 6:20AM. Our appointment 7:30AM.
- Got to the embassy approx 6:30AM, 10 minute cab ride, Cost 4,400 COL pesos, but I gave the cab driver a 5,000 COL peso bill.
- Huge line or lines outside the embassy when we arrived.
- Thanks to all here in VisaJourney, we knew where to go. We walked on the left side, grassy area, straight to the front, to line 3 which had 4 people waiting.
- After a couple of questions, the lady placed a small green stickers on our shirts with K1 hand written on it.
- Approx 6:38AM we went through security. We did not bring cell phones. X-ray machine, metal detector, take everything out of pocket, etc.. Just like going through security at an airport, except, we did not have to take our shoes off.
- After going inside, into the waiting area, we were told by the attendant to proceed straight to the front of Window 7.
- We were not given a check list by this attendant. We sho... read complete review
