Hi,

Got this email today

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On April 5, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

We had our AOS interview on 3/28/07 and passed with a 2 year GC. WE were told Digna could work and travel with the GC. Now, they want to send a EAD. Should I an everyone else not spend the money to file for EAD and AP and wait for AOS. It looks like she will have an EAD and not need one.

Happens to many. Depends on whether you're willing to take your chances on getting your AOS approved right away, or can afford to wait to start working. For others, like poor rebeccajo, there is no AOS approval in sight. EAD, and EAD renewals, are necessary in those cases.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Ummm.... the approval notice he posted WAS for the EAD. She already HAS her 2 year green card. The OP was asking a theoretical question.

John,

Digna applied for it. She paid for it. They're going to complete the application processing that she paid for, even if she no longer needs it.
