Does anyone know how long the processing time I-601 usually would take? Someone told me the processing time posted under national center on USCIS.gov but I checked and it no longer list i-601.

It depends if you are filing in country or at your local consulate...but I think the average is approx 12months.

Here in Canada I receinved a I-601 and was told 12 month but called later for information and was then told 12 to 18 months, regardless of the time it has tobe done so no need to worry just wait.

I have this very naive hope (I had to file a 212 for a denial of entry at the border and have a hobby of keeping up with the waivers) that the 212/601 packet is speeding up.

I just saw from the November USCIS posting that Vermont is claiming that 212's are down to 6 month processing time (down from about 12 months in October) I am hoping since the Canadian 601/212 packets are sent to Vermont that this time reflects the waiver if sent separately or in the dual packet.

I haven't seen any results yet, but I'm hoping
