How long after NVC accepts documents to get appointment

So it has been over a month since, I got a response from NVC saying that they accepted my documents. I have not heard back since then. I was wondering how long does it take for them to schedule interviews, and how long after the documents being accepted are the interviews in Montreal (on average)?

Thank you

Thank You! I gave it all a quick read and helped me gain more clarity. Although Im confused about this police check thing. They accepted my documents at NVC do I need to get a new check done now?

If you read through, that's the question of the hour 😉 No one really knows; no clear answer has been given. Because even if NVC says you're good (and they are the ones who give the CC) it's the consulate who is looking for the new privacy act police record. So no one really knows yet if those who already got CC pre 9/10 but with interviews after will need them. We are probably going to get them just in case to avoid further delays.

Yes, get it done to be safe. The NVC requirements are the fingerprints that are the non privacy act. I spoke directly with the NVC and they informed me that the Embassy may indeed have their own requirements but they(NVC) cannot say with certainty that you do or do not need the privacy act version. Bottom line, for $50 get them to be safe! Apparently it’s the requirement by the embassy after sept 10th.
