F2A: i130 approved by field office, sent back to records office.

Hi,

 

I will be very thank full, if some one can help me with my situation.

 

I filed I-130 for my spouse on 12/10/15.  I-130 was approved after 1 year and 10 months on 8th September 2017. I-130 was approved by local office, after they interviewed me( PETITOINER) . Officer told me that I-130 will be sent to NVC in 3 weeks. Now it's been almost 6 weeks and NVC is saying they haven't received any information for my petition from USCIS. I called USCIS today and spoke to L2. He told me that my I-130 has been sent back to records office, and was never sent to NVC by Dallas Office. 

 

He can't help me with it and i have to get an INFO-PASS to get it fixed. There are no INFO-PASS Slots available. 

 

My question here is.... I was just searching and found a form https://www.uscis.gov/i-824..  Do i need to file this form ? for my approved I-130 to be sent to NVC. This form has a substantial fee. I already mentioned in the I-130 that it should be sent to NVC, and on my approval notice it says that the Petition has been sent to NVC. 

 

I am not sure what to do.. Does this I-824 form applies on my Approved I-130 ? or Dallas office is suppose to send the Petition to NVC without me filing this I-824....

No, you shouldn't have to do the I824. 

 

Do the infopass (if there are several in your area, across in a neighboring state go there). 

 

If that doesn't work contact your elected representative's immigration aide for assistance. 

 

Third option USCIS ombudsman.
