My fiancé went to her interview in new dheli and they told her she was approved and gave her letter of approval. Then few days later they sent email saying her passport size photos didn't show enough of her ears and they needed new ones. So we submitted those photos one week ago.

Her status still says ready for interview or if interview is already done wait for few days. But when we call the visa app center they say it is under ap. The new photos have already been sent to the embassy a week ago also.

Does this kind of problem just for passport size photos take long under AP?

No one can answer that. AP is what it is.

There are many waiting in AP. However long it takes the embassy to complete your case and issue visa is how long it will take. Sorry, but no one can truly tell you.

Yeah but the U.S. Embassy still has my fiancés passport. I understand it can take a long time but the U.S. Embassy can't just hold an Indian citizens passport indefinitely for reasons of paperwork processing. A passport is property of the country that issues it. Example: when I as an American citizen travel to india Indian authorities are allowed to take my passport to examine it but they aren't allowed to just keep it. What if my fiancé wants to travel to another country?

Most cases I read on this site aren't like my fiancés they got 221g with no details or got 221g at interview.
