Hello Friends,

Just have a few quick questions. Okay so on State Department website it shows that my AOS fees are PAID and also IV fees is PAID. So obviously I have started filling out the DS 260 as the next step. I would love to complete this whole form by myself and not tell my parents to do this (since they are computer illiterate). Now my problem is if I complete this form how would I send the Final Confirmation page to my parents? Can I just scan the confirmation page and email it to my dad so he can go to a cyber cafe in Mumbai and just get a print of it? Will this work?

After I print this confirmation page and also send it to my dad then I have to send my whole Document Package to NVC by mail ( I am not doing the document scan stuff I believe in physical pages over internet I will send it certified via USPS). After they find everything okay with my document package they will set up my parents interview in Mumbai consulate am I right so far??Also will the consulate directly get in touch with my parents for their Biometrics and Interview? I am sure NVC will let me know about these 2 appointments dates and time am I right? After all I am their AGENT. Did I miss anything ? Please Help me understand these final steps guys. Thank you so much I really appreciate it.

Follow these steps please:

1. On the IV Fee PAID confirmation page you will find IV document cover sheet. Download the PDF, and also send an email copy right from the NVC portal to your email address and to your parents email address.

2. Fillup DS260.

3. At the end of DS260 submission confirmation page, download the whole filled up DS260 for future reference.

4. Download the DS260 submission confirmation page, and also send an email copy right from the NVC portal to your email address and to your parents email address.

5. Submit all civil documents with the IV document cover sheet to NVC (You can send photocopy of documents).

6. Your are done.

If you have not submitted AOS documents already, send it now please.

During interview your parents should bring:

1. DS260 confirmation page.

2. Interview letter (you will get later from NVC after CC)

3. All civil documents original copy (if original copy was not submitted in previous IV document submission time).

4. Passport + other documents depending on your case.

5. Done.

AOS is adjustment of status. The documents are primarily financial, including the I-864 form, tax transcripts/W2's from USC and proof of USC income. Here is a more detailed explanation from State Department:
