Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: China
Timeline

1. yes, together. no need wait or send 2 shipments.

2. after the DS-261 is successfully added to the casefile; rather, 3 days after this occurs.

3. when you can see the IV Invoice in the NVC payment portal.

4 unknown - study I-864P

5. call into NVC and make certain that the NVC goons have EMAIL ADDRESSES on petitioner and beneficiary, as postal addresses used during the NVC doc intake stage are mostly meaningless and useless, if NVC has the email addresses on both of these humans, all correspondence is handled directly via email [not postal mail]. You could, rely on postal mail and postal mail processing instead, but figure 8 to 12 months at NVC for this duration of notification type. Most VJ members not rely on postal notifications, instead using the email notification path from NVC.

On a PC? Got 'view signatures' enabled? Click the link in my signature area, it's the Bible for NVC Processing, and it's current.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Be sure to use your welcome letter checklist to assemble your package. Send everything now...in one package. Do NOT wait. There is no need to use the two envelopes in one big envelope method that many people have used in the past.

Watch the NVC site for when your IV fee becomes available. If it does not open shortly, call the NVC and have them reiview your 261 over the phone as sometimes it gets "stuck" in their system. Then shortly after that is paid the 260 will open.

Here is the link for poverty guidelines... http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

So yes, $30,312 is needed for a family of 4.
