I am currently applying for a visa for my wife and we both live and work in Vietnam. We have a child and the child is a US citizen.

I file US taxes, but I'm wondering if the income claim matters? The minimum for family of 3 is around $25,000.

Because I work overseas will my income matter at all or will I still need a co-sponsor?

Hope this makes sense.

Will your income continue from the same source once you are in the States? If yes, you can be the only sponsor. If your income won't continue then you will need to have a US based income that meets the requirement or have a joint sponsor for your VN spouse.
