ASC Biometrics appointment - different state?

3 posts in this topic

Hi Everyone,

I have applied for my AOS and submitted the forms I-485 and I-765. I have received my biometrics (New Jersey state) however, I am traveling and will be in California on my appointment day. My appointment is at 3 pm EST, but I am leaving from CA for NJ in the afternoon so I wont be able to go at 3 pm.

Is it possible if I can go to the nearest USCIS office in California and do my biometrics on the same day but earlier time(in the morning) or should I reschedule it?

Thanks!!

You can always go into the nearest office and see if they allow you to do an early walk-in Biometrics. I have heard many success stories as of late and you might not even have to explain your situation of traveling on the day of your original appointment. I will be taking my wife in for her Biometrics this coming Friday although her original appointment is on the 29th. Worse thing they can say is no but multiple VJ members have experienced success on an early walk-in date.

All the best on your AOS journey! :)

It is possible to do biometrics in another office but you can also try to do an early walk-in at your local one.

Good luck!
