Hello everyone, lots of good info on this website. I am the sponsor and my mother is the co sponsor for my husband. His interview date is april7. Now my mother has filed all her taxes , makes more than enough and has enough assets to be the sponsor. I have lived with my husband in his hime country for the past 4 year. I worked only part time and made about 9000 a year. I was not aware i had to file taxes. We have sent in all the paperwork and there is no checklist. Now people are telling me they will ask him at the interview where are my taxes. Sure i can backfile and i will do that but who knows how long it will take. If everything else is perfect, he is covered financially, is there any chance they can deny him the visa because i never filed taxes???? Again, we never got a checklist for that

there are threshold limits to when you have to file. Check here anf if you were still supposed to file taxes, then you should do so.
