Hi again, I'm currently preparing for the needed documents for my Interview on the first week of September.

I wanna know to what extent does the embassy consider the dates of the Petitioner's Bank Statement & Salary Pay Stub?

When we were notified that our petition has been approved (June 21, 2014) my fiance and I started arranging the documents needed for the VISA and Interview, then on he immediately sent me the necessary documents to accompany the Form I-134 with signature, including the Bank Statement (dated July 10, 2014) and the 6 months Salary stub (February - June 30, 2014). But then we weren't able to schedule an appointment until today, because we received the NVC letter on a later date last July 21, 2014. My Interview is on September 2.

My question is, will the consul ask for my fiance's July & August Salary Stub & Bank Statement in additional considering he is above the Poverty level? Is it ok if he will just send me a SCANNED COPY for July & August instead of the original? Please enlighten me. Thanks you.

Good morning...the embassy will be mainly concerned with 2013 tax return with W2's...if hes good there then there shouldn't be a problem...and yes...if you'd like, scanned and/or faxed copies of current statements will be fine....good luck...

Copies of bank statements are not required, unless you are using assets in the bank to qualify. Most recent tax return and W-2 are required.

If your fiance's income meets the 125% poverty guidelines requirement you only need copies of the tax return and W-2.

If your income is above 125% of the poverty level, as shown on your most recent tax return, the embassy will not even ask for bank statements, employer letters, pay stubs, etc. You are only required to bring the most recent tax return and W2.

How do u know if someone makes income of above 125%? What if i make 30k something a year, will that be enough? Thanks in advance for answering :)

Info (link to info) in my link below, or simply web search I-864P for the poverty guidelines.
