Does anyone know if Neo Citron is available in the USA.

Hi all from sunny California.

I have been all around looking for Neo Citron, and no one has ever heard of this product. Is it another light weight item to have my family put in a care package for me, and another item for the "only available in Canada list? Theraflu just isn't the same

Never try any flavour of Neo that appears to be red in colour! I don't know if its cherry or something else but it is literally SO awful that I can't force it down.

Never seen it here though, not even the lemon kind.

Come to think of it, I don't think they do have Neo Citran available here. My husband wanted me to pick him up some, once, only he called it something else. I know I went looking for Neo Citran but came home with some other product that looked similar. I don't drink the stuff, myself. I'm with Spirit.... blech. I make a hot toddy instead. Fresh lemon, a shot of whiskey, a spoonful of honey, and some hot water. Works every time. At least I think it does. After a couple of those I kind of start enjoying being sick.

yeah when I have a sore throat I do the same thing without the whiskey though, just hot water and lemon and honey.. works every time...

That concoction is probably the best..and the whiskey is probably good for bacterial infections too. I've actually went out for nights of drinking with an onset of a sore throat and it is magically gone the next day or so.

oh oh! That's another thing I find Canadians say that Americans don't; "cough candy". They either call it a cough drop or something else.

Hmmm...it used to be available in both Quebec a loooong time ago, when I used to live there, and in BC, where I last lived.

Maybe it was banned??

As for great home health remedies:

may I also recommend...

ginger (sliced or chopped), lemon (wedges or chopped with peel, do get organic)

boil in water

pour water into cup

add honey to taste

extremely healthy as well as Yerba Maté "tea".

I have to chime in too! My US husband is now obsessed with Neo Citran, and insists on having some whenever he feels the *slightest* inkling of a cold. He gets my mother to send it from Victoria. He is slightly, just slightly hypochondriac:) Theraflu is not the same. I think it is because Neo Citran contains some kind of decongestant medicine that is banned by the FDA for over the counter here in the States. The ingredients are not the same, I remember comparing them, although I can't remember what the name of the additional medicines were in the Neo Citran.

I think that's why many over the counter decongestants don't work at all the the US. I buy Sudafed at home now and save it for my rare colds and hubby's frequent "man flu" episodes.
