Ok so I'm getting jittery, my wife and I have our interview next week. We have to take along a new I-864 as she changed jobs a couple of months ago, so we are taking her wage slips from her new jobs to show she is earning wildly in excess of the required income. Is this suffice? We also have 3 letters from people that know us as a married couple and see us on our day to day life living together etc. 2 joint checking accounts, 2 joint credit card accounts, a shared lease agreement, a bunch of photos, copies of the first emails we ever sent each other in 2015 and the online post she replied to offering to show me around Door County in WI. Anything else we should be taking? What is this interview going to be like? We filed I-130/485?concurrently a year ago after we got married when I came out here to visit her for 9 days and stayed for good..

thanks in advance.

Does she have an offer letter that she received when she was offered her job? I had switched jobs recently around the time I had done my husband's paperwork. I included my new check stubs, as well as the offer letter I was presented from my new work. This document stated my annual salary as well as my position status. That might help as well.

through HR, she could perhaps get an "employment verification" letter, which states her position and current salary. Those are pretty standard letters, so if she works at a decent-sized company they should know what that entails.

For the interview, don't stress it too much - if you're a legit couple, you'll be fine. Questions we got were - where do you live? why did you move (since filing)? how much rent do you pay? what do you do for a living? do you have any additional documents for me to verify your relationship? (this is where we offered printouts of wedding photos, and another document - they were put in our file, so make sure you don't give away anything you want back)

It sounds like you have a lot of stuff already. We put some of that in our application, so if you didn't, you may start with the more official ones, like copy of lease and of bank info (bring originals just in case, but give copies). Make sure to follow the list of docs on the appointment letter.

Good luck, you'll be fine!
