IR-2 Evidence at U.S Embassy Kingston Jamaica

Timeline

Can someone tell me what are some of the evidence needed for step-daughter at the interview in Kingston? she will be 18 next week. we send all the financial stuff and the other evidence to NVC already just need to know what to send to her for the interview. Thanks much

Timeline

I believe it's pretty straightforward. You are free to send evidence showing how you are part of the child's life e.g. pictures of you two together etc. But generally shouldn't need evidence per se . Just make sure you send all the originals of documents needed at NVC.

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:

Keas i sent photo copies of the civil docs to nvc along with everything else.

I know, you said that and I said you need to bring originals to interview. What is "everything else" and if you sent everything I don't understand what you are asking in the original post then.

If the NVC received only photocopies of all her documents beside the birth certificate that supposed to be original and translation of all documents that are not in English .. Hopefully Jamaica have documents already in English.. then she needs to take with her all original documents and she needs to have some knowledge about the petionner.. about his biography . And financial documents if not submitted already to NVC .. also an updated police certificate if the NVC received the other one more than 6 months....i suppose you already get p4 already mentioned what need..

Send original marriage certificate, that what i did mother certificate just to be on the safe side
