Will she do her interview in the USA or Ireland?

Can she come as a tourist if her visa is not approved by Jan 15?

This is taking longer than expected

Martin- your plan is sound

xero- we generally recommend you make your own thread for your own case. But in brief- if she is resident in Belfast she will interview in London. Never in the USA. Yes, she should be able to use the Visa Waiver program while you are waiting. Total processing time from filing to interview is currently around a year, so you have some time to go.

Thank you for the reply. I wanted to start my own thread but could not decide how to get started with it.

Our friends in Wisconsin with me were married in August (she USA him uk). They have had there interview and approved! Such bs ours is still not complete.

I am current using my parents address as I didn't have our house signed for when I sent our paper work. Should I change the address to Wisconsin they seem to be faster than Boston.

Can she do her interview in the USA?

**** split from thread by other member ****

Your friend's case is very unusual.

She cannot have her interview in the USA because you are applying for a visa; visas are used to enter countries. I am not quite sure why you are asking abut interviewing in the USA when she is in Belfast anyways, can you explain? If you mean can she come and live with you till the visa is approved, no she cannot.

Changing your paperwork/ address now is not going to make any difference, but it IS a good idea to have your current address with them, so you may want to do that anyways.
