That is correct. Make sure you printed out the 160 confirmation. The only other things you need to bring are the items listed on the state dept website like police, cedula, birth certificate, etc...

I must warn you, if you schedule an interview within a few days (not weeks) right after your case reads "ready", your case may not be at the embassy actually ready for the interview. This happened to me this week. They kept saying well you should have waited for the letter. Turned out our case just arrived the previous evening and hadn't yet been entered into their system. They pulled it and gave us a quick interview after flipping through it.

One more thing...Like many other posts, don't wait on their slow mail. Keep it going. Stick with the appointments you have. I just got my NVC welcome letter yesterday :-/

Medical is walk in, no appointment needed. So no do you need a form or confirmation. You will get a VAC appointment confirmation at the same time you schedule your interview. You dont need anything else.

Hi, honestly I'm having the same issue, where the consulate has not made the efforts to contact my fiance or send any packet or anything at all. I read on their website that their mailing system is usually pretty slow but you should still follow the steps as advised on their website.

Which is fill out the DS-160, pay $265 at the Banco Popular, then make your appointment with the consulate, and the medical app.

But I understand how confusing it is my case has been there since Sept 25th and they have not contacted my fiance at all. So we're just going to continue the steps.

So did you get approved even though they were not ready for it ?

Consulate doesnt contact applicants anymore, once case is at Santo Domingo continue yourself with your appoinment.
