  • Travel To The US While Visa Process Is Pending

       (0 reviews)

Many people wish to travel to their Fiance(e)/Spouse while an application for a K-1/CR-1/IR-1 is pending. The general consensus is that you may be able to, but you will need to bring evidence of ties to your home country as proof that you do not intend to immigrate on this trip.

Please find more detailed advice in the guides here.

Examples of ties to your home country include:

    • A mortgage statment or tenancy agreement showing that you still have an address in your home country
    • A letter from your employer stating that you are on leave, and expected back at work in a period of time
    • Your return tickets
    • A copy of your petition/visa application showing that you are in the process of immigrating legally
    • A letter from your school stating that you are still enrolled
    • A bank statement showing that you have a sufficient balance not to need to work during your visit.
