Great experience; my medical was with Dr. Zatzman on Major Mackenzie in Vaughn Ont. my appt. was for 2 pm; he said he does immigration medicals on Tuesday and Thursdays. I did not deal with Michelle....I had Amanda and she was great; they were very busy when I arrived; there were 4 other immigration medicals all for USA ahead of me. Amanda took a copy of the front page of my interview letter, one photo, copies of my vaccination records and $ 240.00 for my medical. She typed in the computer for a bit and called the courier who confirmed it would be $ 15.00. I sat for appx 20 minutes, Dr. Z called me in; very pleasant nice man. I did not have to undress or prove gender; he asked several questions on a form which were all no...took my weight and blood pressure.... had me breathe deeply to listen to my lungs....he gave me to 2 scripts to go downstairs to the xray dept which is immediately to your right when you exit the elevator. The other script was for blood work. At the Xray she confirmed my information, cost is $ 50.00 paid by cash credit or debit; I confirmed with her they do take credit and debit. Sat for 5 minutes; get undressed from top only; put on gown, go into xray, took passport, one picture then off to the Lab for bloodwork - sat for 10 minutes paid my 7.76 cash and had one vile of blood taken....the total time was 1 hour and 20 minutes. His office is easy to get to; I took the 407 from Hamilton, exit Dufferin, turn left down to Major Mackenzie, turn right and his building is a medical building on the right in a plaza. There is a Tim Hortons and other offices and hasty market and a couple food places. No charge for parking and lots of parking. Overall it was a very good experience. I was given receipts for all the items I paid for.

His questions were based on major diseases and medical conditions as well as drug and alcohol abuse, mental and behavioural disorders. He did not ask any questions regarding medical history outside of the Form. He pleasantly chats with you during the process. You sign a paper when you first sit down, he asked me which part of Texas we will be residing in. He explained he does his reports the following Monday and they should be out via courier or ready for pick up by Tues/Wed. He told me to call Thursday the following week if my package has not arrived, do not open it. No questions were asked by the X-ray or Lab tech. That's really all there was, it was pretty easy.

I heard he was a good doctor, but the only issue is he takes the 7 days to process your medical results. The one on St Clair is only 3 days. I guess if you need an expedited medical, you do what you gotta do.
