I AM STILL TRYING TO GUESS WHEN OUR EMBASSY SCHEDULES INTERVIEWS...

Here is the pattern as i found on this thread...

Emails sentOR NVC----interview dates

June 29--------------early to mid august

July 13--------------Mid to end of August

Aug 13--------------early to sept 19

Aug 29th-----------sept 20 thru oct5

SEPT---------not one interview email FOR 6 WEEKS??

Oct 14th-------------early nov thru nov17

Oct 19th-------------nov 17- end of nov

Nov 3-------------for early to mid dec-21 dates

so...the rest of the pattern should be

Nov 29th--------------late dec dates and early to mid jan

Dec 13-15-------------middle Jan till end of Jan dates

Dec 29th--------------Feb dates?

Anyhow, good luck to all.

I want people to see what I look at on the egypt portal for timelines.

I email alot of people and ask them to complete their timelines because only about 50% of egyptians ever complete their timelines. So please forgive me if I email you to complete your timeline but it helps so much for others to see how many days the process takes us.

Thanks everyone.

Just wait it out. When you least expect it and you give up, then they will contact you. They told me I didn't have an Interview in November then on oct 19th they informed me about the interview. Things have sped up a lot since anyway, so just stay strong. You will get it soon!

Does anybody know how I can contact the embassy about my case? My husband called DHL again today and they said that his passport is still with the embassy. I'm

Starting to lose patience. Why cant they just give it same day and let us sleep in peace!

Also, they said his visa is approved and he should get it in 7-10 days. If it were to be under AP then they would have told us, am I correct? Has anybody had that experience that they said they would get the visa in a week and they got in months later? Please let me know. With this gap time, a bunch of weird unnecessary thoughts are coming to mind...

Those in AP, they told you that you would be in AP for a given amount of time, right? Our consular officer didn't mention anything about AP. in fact, the paper that we recieved by her to submit the military paper had a section that said Administrative processing and it was Blank. The sheet was like a checklist and she had military papers checked, and it just indicated that we had to submit that with the address of the embassy.

Please share your thoughts...

I know I have seen many egyptians were told they would receive it in 2 weeks and they got it in 2 months instead.

I think you can go to the embassy website and put in your CRO number into the area that searches for people in AP. Maybe that is how people know they are in AP? I am not sure. GO Into the scheduling area and on the left CLick the PENDING CASES and put in your cairo number.

And everyone has to ask the CO specifically "Am I in AP? Is there any chance of AP?" Because they do not have to tell us. Even on their own website they say...we might tell you that you are approved but then we put you in AP.

I hope you get the visa this week.

Good Luck

The embassy emailed me back and said that they received the document my husband sent in on November 28th...so that sets things back a little. Please pray that we get the visa very very soon inshaAllah.

I just realized that s@kh did not come back for 2 months because they probably had their interview already. I looked at the embassy scheduling and noticed other countries seem to wait 2-3 months for their interviews in Cairo while we wait 4-6....hmmmmm so I guess I will remove him from the list.

I am guessing Egypt does not want to make other countries angry by making their people wait. So, it is easier to deal with making Egyptians angry rather then 5 other countries governments!
