221g AP/AR in US Embassy Manila, anyone?

We need a new thread on this. Our son was given the 221g form after his interview (more like, me, because our son's a minor) last April 19. The CO asked for additional documents (local civil registry copy of birth certificate) and I was given a reverification form to give to the NSO for our son's birth certificate. I sent the LCR through 2GO on April 25 (this is free, Embassy will give you a request form to hand over to 2GO), it was received April 26. I requested for the NSO reverification online thru e-census.gov.ph (this is not free and you can do it in person at the Pasay branch), I received an email that it was dispatched yesterday, April 28. I have already filled out the visa delivery form. My visa has been approved (my interview was last February 17) but is now tied up with my son's case because at my interview, I told the CO that I wanted to wait for my son's interview so that our visas can be processed together. There's no way I'm leaving without our son. Anyone else have any stories? Let's keep in touch! :)

Usually when u are given the 221 g,,it's either they need more documents from you or ur papers are under review. I got one too when i applied for my k1 visa 5 yrs. ago. They did not asked me anymore documents but they kept my passport which is a good sign.

I waited for a few weeks and my visa finally came . If ur visa comes first before ur son's..don't worry about it ur K1 visa is valid for 6 months so u still have plenty of time .

it was a month to be exact but like i said that was 5 yrs. ago. Nowadays they deliver ur visa quicker. My kids got their visa last year within a week after their interview.

Just be patient as long as u did not received a yellow paper (disapprove) then that means ur visa is on the way.

Hi! I got 221g form also last April 14, the CO asked for another CENOMAR and NBI with my uncorrected name(in the birth certificate). The CENOMAR I ordered online took 5-7 working days days as well as the NBI(I got a "hit" again!) So by this time, 2go will deliver the said docs and we will know later how long they are gonna process it...

No it was for my K1 visa. I did not have any problem bringing my kids here when it comes to documents. When

they asked u to provide more documents to submit to them,,they will check the white paper(221g at the bottom) what documents they want from u. If they didnt then just wait coz ur visa is on the way.

Hello guys! For anyone who's watching this thread, I found out today that my son's visa was approved yesterday. Our visas will get to us within 7-10 working days, hopefully. I called this number: (02) 301-2000 loc 5184 or 5185. This is the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy. They can tell you the status of your case. Good luck, everyone!
