Hello everyone,

My fiance and I are about to get the K-1 process started and I'd love to talk to anyone in a Dutch/American relationship who is, or recently went through the K-1 or K-3 process and is/was going through the consulate in Amsterdam. I thought it might be fun to talk to others with Dutch fiance's/fiancee's/husbands/wives... :luv:

Hugs, Liz

Hi Liz,

Somehow leaving you a comment did not work, but I wanted to let you know that I read it.

My fiance and I are waiting anxiously for our NOA2  .

He is the one from the US (Virginia) and I am the dutch one, so if you have any questions (either english or dutch!), let me know, maybe I can help you!

Good luck with your VJ and most of all... try to stay positive and patient!

Hi there! My husband is from the Netherlands. We are currently waiting for the lifting of conditions. Our timeline is filled out as much as it can be, and our story and a few pics are also here. If we can help, just let us know.

It is overwhelming, but you will get there! Congrats!

Hi Keltic! Thanks for posting! I'm excited to meet everyone... :-) I LOVE your pics....I have a few on here too. He was here in June and we had so much fun with my daughter!! I'm soooo happy that she loves him as much as I do...I was a bit worried at first but after this past summer I see I have no reason to be. I see that this has been a really long road for you two. I know I'll get there someday...right now I just want to get him here!!

Can I ask where in the Netherlands your husband is from? My fiance is from Den Haag.

Hugs, Liz

My hubby is from Den Bosch. He was originally from Rotterdam, but had been living in 's-Hertogenbosch for quite some time. He says that is about an hour and a half or so from Den Haag.

I LOVE your pics....I have a few on here too.

Thank you!

Patrick told me that Den Bosch is just a few minutes from the town of Oss. One of my very dearest friends is from Oss....hehe! Such a small world sometimes!!!

Hey again,

Thanks for the good luck! Hopefully we'll get some good news soon!

I'm not good at being patient to, but.... what can you do?

Just sit it out, call as much as you can, check USCIS several times a day and hope you'll be together soon!

I'm with you Nona....Patrick and I have a 7 hour time difference and it really stinks! Hopefully it won't be much longer until you and your sweetie are together and don't have to worry about time differences anymore!!

I know I'm going to be horrible with checking the USCIS site all the time...hehe! That's one of the reasons I wanted to meet other people from the Netherlands so maybe we can help each other through it...hehe!

Btw, I meant to ask you as well, what part of the Netherlands are you from?

Hugs, Liz

Welcome Jared and Peet!

Great to read from more dutch / american couples  .

I'm also from the north of Holland, actually from the northeast.

It's really nice, but very flat!

And for all three of you: I wish you all the luck and best with filing!

If you need (dutch) help, just let me know.

Hopefully soon I can tell you all about the NOA2 stage, for now I'm still waiting....and waiting....and waiting
