Comments : Never received the official notification of biometrics. Called and finally got an email with a date/time, but still didn't get a paper copy. Went in according to the email and a manager printed out the appointment from their system. Didn't get asked for another interview, just got a notification that the new card was being sent.

Event Description

Embassy Review : Maybe I should have somehow already known this, but you can't bring your cell phone in the building (I think this is for all federal buildings). And here they will not hold it for you. Annoying, because on the (AOS) appointment notice there is a list of about twenty things you must bring with you....how difficult would it be to add a line about not bringing cell phones? I'm really good about following directions if they are made available to me. When I mentioned it, our officer was like, "Oh, yeah, that happens sometimes. People have to run back to their cars and they're worried about being late." If it happens enough that the officers are so casual about it, it's often enough it should be on the appointment notice. Arrgh. And not everyone will be able to simply run back to the car, some people take buses, etc.
But everything was okay in the end, since we were approved!
Harassment Level : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
