Embassy Review : Well here is my long awaited interview review.

I woke up at 5.30 after a terrible nights sleep worrying ..... Luckily i only live a 20 minute bus ride from the Embassy. Got off at Selfridges and down North Audley Street to find Goulds Pharmacy.

Goulds Pharmacy
I arrived there approx 8.20. It was a busy little Pharmacy. Cost me £3.00 to keep my electronics. They had a list of things that you cant take in with you. I then asked about getting my Photo taken the man told me to go to the back. It was all done very professionally and a bunch of nice guys. In all i was in there about 10 mins. Cost me £5.00 for 2 American sized photos. So £8.00 in all. The Embassy is about a minute or 2 from there.

The Embassy
There were 2 queues the lady told me to get in line and i think there must have been about 15 people befire me. It didnt take long. I went through security. My knees were shaking lol i was sooooo nervous. After security you walk round and enter the building gave my appointment letter to the receptionist who then gave me my number. I walked upstairs into the big hall. It was a bot like an arrival lounge with TV screens showing what number were coming up.

My number was I914. There was sooo many N numbers i began thinking i wish i had an N number it looked so uncomplicated. I then started thinking about questions they would ask, And for the life of couldnt remember what big eriks favourite colour was, and i couldnt text him either to ask, panic set in looool. I waited for about just over an hour for my number to come up. The guy at the booth was English and really nice. He went through all the papers he had and asked if there was any changes, I said that Erik had started a new job in January and gave him the email his agency sent him offering the job. He didnt ask me for any other paperwork and i had a laptop bag full of documents. He took my passport and i asked him about the photos. He said he didnt need them but i insisted he took them because they were alot better than the ones i sent originally lol vanity..... He then took my fingerprints and gave me a pink paper which was for postal of passport and visa. He told me to sit back down fill in the pink paper and i would be called.

The Interview
I waited only about ten minutes before being called again. I went up to find a serious looking American guy. He made me nervous again. I was sure he was going to ask what eriks favourite colour was. He told me he needed to do my fingerprint to make sure i was Ruth Martin and also took the oath of truth. He asked me where eriks moms house was i said the town. He then asked how far it was from Camden. I was thinking why is he asking me such a dumb question. I told him it was about half hour 45 mins and about the same to Philadelphia. He then asked why it took us so long to apply for the visa, as we have been married for 3 years. I explained that we really couldnt make our mind up what was the best option. He also asked when i was travelling, I told him i had made no plans until i get my visa, but would go in April if i got it. That was all he asked. That was it. He said that he didnt have my medical records, I explained i had spoken to one of the doctors from Knightsbridge on Friday and that they will be there in the afternoon or tomorrow morning. I said that i had evidence of attending the medical and letters from GP and private clinic, he said he didnt need them. He then gave me a blue piece of paper called form 221. He said that as soon as he received my medical notes my visa would be mailed to me. I asked was i approved, he said not until he gets the medical notes. But he kept my passport and told me to pay the front desk as if i had been approved, he also gave me back my original documents. He was a bit serious... I went to pay my post, i choose the £20.00 option which is arrival before mid day.

I went back to Goulds to collect my things the guys who served me asked how i got on i felt like giving him a big hug ) ... I got my stuff and went to Starbucks just on the corner and called the Knightsbridge doctors. They said that they had received everything and it was with the doctor and my medical would be sent to the embassy tomorrow morning.

All in all, it wasnt as bad as i had anticipated. All very professional

Thank God its all over

Good luck to anyone who reads this and try not to worry its really not that bad. No interrigation tactics... Just be yourself and be honest
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
