Embassy Review : Well here I am ,never thought i would get here.My appointment letter arrive a week to me attending a management meeting in London 11 October, which was a good thing as the interview was schedulled for 13th October @ 09.00, this was a good thing as i was travelling from Littleborough in Lancashire, it gave me the chance to stay in london for a couple of days. I stayed within the KingsCross area near to the tub station (very Central),a taxi journey away costing around £8-10.00.(for some reason all the recommended hotels near to the Embassy were full). The day before the interview i spent shopping and sight seeing, headed to Oxford Street and Convent Garden, returned late to the hotel, settled down for the night with a take away curry and the Soaps, was not able to get much sleep as i thinking about the interview, the next morning 0.700 hours alarm woke me, got ready. Took a taxi to the Embassy, dropped off my luggage and all electronics, keys at Gould Pharmacy ( as recommended) cost £ 6.00, Electronics £ 3.00, suitcase £3.00.walked to the Embassy just a stone throw away across the road, on arrival around 08.00, there was already a queue. The journey from the gate to inside building was painless, smooth. Allocated a munber on showing passport and appointment letter, up the stairs to the waiting area, my number was called around 10.00 hours. went to the window where i was greeted by a very nice cheerful young man ask me to tell him the full name of my fiance where he lived in the USA upon telling him the Address we both cracked up laughing as our Address is Sesame street (I get it all the time when travelling no one ever believes, they alway think i am joking, he joked and asked if there was a Big Bird, of which i reply only my Fiance, he handed me my Chest X-ray in a white enevelop and told me to take this in my hand luggage to hand in at Port of Entry he then collected all the necessary documents, i.e. The MRV fee receipt passport birth certificate original and copy, letters of intent (i took updated one as it was sometime since we had submitted our application).DS-I-134 Affadavit of support form from my fiancer plus evidence he only wanted my fiance employer's letter ( although i had his W2, and Pay slips of 2 months) English Police Clerance Certificate.Once he had done the check list, took my finger print left 4 fingers then right 4 fingers and then both thumb together. He handed me a pink for me to fill out whilst waiting for my number to be called again for the Interview.about 10 mins waiting my number was called again, went to the window, where this lovely lady greeted me told me my name asked if this was correct, ask me to hold my right hand up and take the oat, then print my fiance's full name on the DS-156k and sign form, asked, Have either of us been married ?.How and when i met my fiance? on tellinh here when we first met, it was at his cousin's wedding, she ask me where was the wedding and which county, she then took my finger print from left 4 fingers, she then say "you have been approved", at this stage i just put my hand out under the window we held hands and i got very tearful, because this news was the best pre-birtday present i could have recieved. She then told me to go and pay the courier fee and hand the pink paper with dilivery details in.
The whole experience was very painless and good , i went prpared with prove of relationship, police clearance from when i lived in Saudi Arabia, but this was not require, however the gentle man who did the document check list told me that i was well prepared and should take the Police clearance from Saudi Arabia when i go to the states, which was bettter as if any of the evidence was missing and they had requested it it would of meant that i would have to re- schedule. The only advice i can give is just go prepared and only give what is asked for, also just answer only the questions asked and no more, just relax and smile, if they make a joke laugh, donot be too nervous.
On leaving the embassy collected my luggage and Cell Phone from Gould and immediately telephoned my Fiance, still on Cloud Nine.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
