Event Description
Review Date : May 5, 2008
Embassy Review : Went for my interview with my husband on April 7, 2008. Appt was at 9.59, we went in at about 10.30. Interviewer was very nice. She went through some basic questions - Address, SSN, basic info from the I 485. Asked some medical questions - history of alcohol abuse or mental illness in the family, then asked if I support terrorism, ever been arrested... Asked my husband about his job, how we met, if he had been married before etc. Asked to see docs showing a shared lide - kept copies of our life insurance policies showing each other as the beneficiary, and the copies of the car docs showing joint ownership. She asked to see photos and kept a couple of our wedding which went into our file. Basically that was it, the only problem was that the doctor I went to hadn't completed my medical correctly, so I had to go back and get that sorted out.... sent the docs and on 4/18/08 received my welcome to the US letter.... received my conditional green card on 5/3/08. All in all, the interview was nothing to worry about, it is worse waiting for the day to come....
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
