Comments : Easy interview - in and out in 2.5 hours and fortunately, a successful one. I had all my papers in order and the embassy official at the first window spent more time talking to my wife about kids, fashion and the $/£ rate than she did addressing me.

At the second window, the "interview" with the consular office, he was also more concerned with the World Series than our bona fides ... all in all, an anti-climatic conclusion to several months of nail-biting.

And to finish the day, four hours after leaving Grosvenor Square, I received a text message from SMS promising return of my passport tomorrow (24 hours from the big day).

And to end my story, I had a very easy entry to the US (via New York, JFK) - it felt quicker than my regular non-citizen entrance in the past!

If I could only improve the dollar/pound x-rate, I'd be laughing!

Thanks, everyone, for your support and advice.

Charleston, here we come!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
