POE Review: JFK
Event Description
Entry Date : 2008-09-17
Embassy Review : After a fairly lengthy wait in the immigration queue the lady who I saw was perfectly pleasant, asked a few basic questions (when are you getting married, how did you meet) and then stamped the documents. She then said that I would probably want to work and directed me to a separate line near the baggage reclaim. This was all a bit confusing as there were no signs and the officers were rather surly. However after about 30 mins wait I got my passport back with the I94 stamped with work permit at the back (this took me a while to spot!). Could not really have hoped for better (apart from that one of my bags got lost...)
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
