Consulate Review: Dominican Republic
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 8, 2024
Embassy Review : Everything went super fast. We arrived at 06:30, and left at 07:40. Have your appointment confirmation and passport in hand. Then we went through a checking point. You only have to take off your belt and watches.

When we went to the pre-consul, he asked for the acta de nacimiento inextensa, passport, papel de buena conducta and the medical exams. He asked my fiancé if he had been married, and if we have children in common. He asked for his phone number, and then mine and the email. That was all there.

Then we were sent to wait from the windows 19 to 30. We got window 20. The gentleman was SUPER KIND, and these were the questions:
To my fiancé (petitioner).
•What city are you from?
•If he had ever been married
•If we had any children in common
•Where do you work?

To me (beneficiary)
•If I have ever been in trouble with the law
•If I have traveled to another country, and where did I stay the longest?
•How did we meet?
•When was my fiancé’s last time in the DR?

That was IT ? None documents were asked.
Rating : Very Good

felicitaciones amigo, me alegra que no se estén demorando los 16.5 meses que dice la pagina web del USCIS si no que un poco menos o un poco mas del año, te pregunto, la fecha de tu aprobación coincidió con la fecha que te dio visajourney? gracias

¡Hola! Muchísimas gracias. No, no coincidió. Recibimos nuestro NOA2 alrededor de un mes antes de la fecha estimada acá que era el 16 de Septiembre.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
