Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom

Event Description
Review Date : March 25, 2022
Embassy Review : Just had my interview today (25/3/22).
It went just as the other reviews had made out. Essentially it was a breeze.
I lined up thirty minutes before time slot and the lady asked me to come back in ten minutes. But then as the line was building up she called me back and said it will be time once I get through anyway.
Security very standard. For anyone who was confused about the no ‘big bag’ rule. I had a standard backpack and that is deemed fine.
Now the reception bit, everyone tells you to not line up and skip everybody. As a british person I found that hard because it’s not obviously sign posted for you so the idea of cutting in line is not in my nature. I eventually went down the US citizen line because it was clear. The woman super nice guided me. First floor left then left.
Upstairs again super easy my number was already at the desk when I arrived so straight to another lady. She copied all civil documents, passport, photos and also the courier confirmation letter. She informed me my NZ police record hadn’t been sent over. (They have had since September so bit disappointed)
Anyway called to next window and it was a few general questions about my wife where we met etc. He asked about the NZ police record but was happy to accept Id sent it and didn’t mark it as an issue.
However I had only just had my medical 23/3/22 so not enough time to receive the results hence the 211g or whatever it was called. It was expected so no issues.
All in all the staff from the very beginning to the very end were super nice and not the least bit rude or intimidating. As long as you have brought the correct forms this is more of a formality than an interview.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
