Event Description

Embassy Review : I had my k1 visa interview today april 21 2023 at the US embassy in London. I can honesty say it was such an easy, pleasant and straightforward process. the staff where very helpful giving you clear instructions and so friendly all the way through. I was in and out in an hour.
As soon as you get the the embassy have your passport and DS160 in your hand it just helps to speed up the line at the first desk before you go in to the airport style security and enter the actual building. Once through security you check in at the reception desk again with you passport and DS160 and name. My name wasn't on the list but it wasn't a problem. They stick a sticker on your DS160 with your ticket number on it. For k1 visa's you take the lift to the first floor once you exit the lift turn left and then left again to a separate waiting room for k1 visas applicants. When your number is called on one of the screens just go to the window it tells you to go to and the friendly staff will ask you for you paperwork as per the website and they take your finger prints. It takes 5 mins at the most, then sit back down and wait for you number to be called again and go to the window it says. You will be asked some really simple questions like how did you meet your partner, what job do they have and if everything is in order they tell you there and then if your approved also took no more than 5 mins. Rember to take your paperwork back from the staff before you leave. Like your birth certificate, police certificate ect they will keep your passport. then just make your way back out the way you came in. Super easy just make sure you have all your paperwork in order then check it again and you will be fine.
So happy to say I got approved after such a long process of over 500 days from posting the i-129f to the approved visa today. You should receive your passport and visa within 2 week and start the rest of your lives together.
For those still waiting hang in there your time is coming and all the waiting will be a distant memory.
Good luck everyone

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
