Event Description
Review Date : April 5, 2022
Embassy Review : I had my interview today and i got my visa approved without any issues.

Here's my background

1. me and my wife living in korea together.
2. My wife has been living in korea since 2018
3. my wife have been working until end of 2021 and now she's unemployed
4. prepared AOS with Joint Sponsor (Wife's parents)
5. we reported our marriage in korea but didn't do the wedding ceremony.
6. me and my wife went to the U.S embassy together.
7. every form and documents were prepared with help of immigration lawyer.
8. We started with CR-1 but the category has changed to IR-1 automatically because days of marriage reached over 2 years.

Interview

at the entrance(07:30)

1. I showed my passport at the entance and the employees escorted us in
2. I gave them all the electronic devices we had(Cellphone, Remote key)
3. I went up to 2nd floor and gave my UID information paper to employee
4. I went up to 3rd floor and waited until being called by employee
5. I gave the original copy of documents which was uploaded on NVC to employee. the employeed checked all the documents and gave me back unnecessary documents
6. i waited and employee called me again and saying that Petitioner's birth certificate is missing and was not uploaded to NVC either.
I told them i don't have actual copy with me now and employee told me to go back to seat and wait for an interview

the interview starts(08:00)

1. My name was called and I went to the desk where the Consul stays.
2. Consul welcomes me for an interview session and she guided me through fingerprint scan process.
3. Questions

Consul: Where did you guys meet?
Answer: the place we first met

Consul: When did you guys meet in person?
Answer: the date we first met

Consul: When did you guys get married?
Answer: marriage date

Consul: Where does your wife live now?
Answer: We are living in korea together.

Consul: Do you have children?
Answer: No we don't.

Consul: What are you and wife going to do when you're back in states?
Answer: Explained what we majored and also told them that we are looking for a jobs.

Consul: Did you guys find a home?
Answer: Explained that we wll be living with wife's parents home for awhile.

Consul: Is there are proof that your wife is trying to look for a job?
Answer: Yes I have a copy of e-mail that shows contacting job posts and replies from them. It wasn't uplaoded on NVC but i can still show you if you'd like to have a look.

Consul: Yes, i'd like to see it
Answer: I gave a copy of proof

Consul: Okay. Your visa has been approved. Your passport will be returned to you via delievery option of your choice.
It will take about a week to be processed and sent to you. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy your living in US.
Answer: Thank you so much. Have a good day.

Consul: You too. Good bye.


7. We took our belongings on 1st floor and left the embassy.

Everyone was very nice and the questions were very basic.
