Comments : Philadelphia airport was a good one to go through. Basically no questions asked at customs, I gave them my brown envelope and a the nice officer told me that visas like mine have to be finished in the secondary room which another office escorted me to. There was a plenty of people inside so I expected a long wait. After 30 or so minutes my name has been called and I have been asked one question and that was : When will you get married? I said October and that was it. I was given my passport and left.

Consulate Review: Czech Republic
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : I had my interview on Tuesday 30th of August at 2 pm in Prague. Got there about 30 minutes early but was still let in. Inside I went through a security and left all my electronics (would definitely recommend wearing a classic watch to check the time, there was no hanging clock from what I saw) and continued to the Consular area. Printed out my number and sat down. There were 2 people in front of me so I spent about 1 hour and 45 minutes total in the embassy while also being 30 minutes early so I would say that's not bad at all. When my number was called I went to the first window where a nice czech lady asked for all of my documents. She had to call me again because I forgot to give her my medical report but she was nice all the way even through that. Lastly they called my number for the actual interview where a super pleasant lady greeted me and started the interview with an oath and taking my fingerprints. It was about 5-10 minutes and at the end she said that everything looks good and we're approved. On Friday 2nd of September I received an email stating that my visa is ready for a pick up.

Overall a very seamless and pleasant process.

Questions asked during the interview:
- Tell me about you and your fiance, how did you two met?
- Have he visited you here?
- Have you been there? To visit him or even before? When?
- What does he do for living?
- What would you want to do there for living?
- Ever been married? Any children?
- Have you ever been in the military?
Rating : Very Good

Hi Jana, congrats on getting your visa done :), me and my fiance are actually almost at the end as well, currently just waiting for embassy to set up the appointment and I was wondering whether you could tell me if you and you fiance both got the letter about the scheduled appointment or just you? and also whether it was sent by post or you received an email? Thank you very much for your response. :) Kristyna

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
