hello , is your case under active review

I’m not sure. How can I find out?

you just log in and see your status to see if it says under active review . mine says- Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS
As of February 24, 2021, we are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number . Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Thank you! When did you put your application in?

Mine just says it is being processed at the Nebraska center.

so they have not started to review your case . Once they do it will say actively reviewed by USCIS

How long ago did you put your papers in?

I put them in November 12 of 2020 . When did you put your in ? Are you not in Nebraska service center ? They usually work fast there . It says the time line is 5 to 9 months for processing .

Yes I am in Nebraska service center. I put them in September 17 they went to the Texas center and they transferred it to the Nebraska center and they received it September 22nd. It’s 5 months for me already.
Hopefully they start actively reviewing it soon!

I am sure they will since it has been 5 months . It all depends who has your case and if the person they assigned it to has too much of a work load . I know mine can stay under active review for 90 days if they want or longer if they send a request for evidence or something like that . Some cases move fast but in the end we all have to wait for the appointment at the embassy and that can take a year or so because they are backed up because of Covid . I will keep you posted , you do the same .

Are you a US Citizen or hold a green card ? For green card it takes much longer . I just checked and 12 Months to 15.5 Months Permanent resident filing for a spouse or child under 21 November 16, 2019
5 Months to 7 Months U.S. citizen filing for a spouse, parent, or child under 21 July 31, 2020 If you are a US Citizen it is taking 5 to 7 months only . Mine was received December in Nebraska I put them in on November 12 of 2020

I am a citizen

Great I checked the time lines and they should be working with you soon . My husband was here before and let his green card expire. That is probably why they are reviewing my case now .

I hope so! Thank you!

My case is in active review as of today 😊

That's great !!!!! I am so happy for you . Let me know when it is approved . I have been waiting but nothing has changed since Feb. 24th still active review . Hopefully we get good news at the same time or sooner than later . I have been checking and it seems for some people it doesn't take long to have it approved . For some it takes months .

I’ll definitely let you know and you let me know as well. I hope it gets approved quickly for both of us!

We got approved! Our case was sent to the NVC 😊

OMG I am so happy for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulation's . Your time was perfect

Thank you. I’m excited. Please keep
Me updated with your case.

6 months is perfect / the time line says between 5 to 7 months . Hope you get your appointment soon , keeping my fingers crossed for you . Still waiting on mine but hoping to hear something soon .
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
