Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : They talked to him for about an hour. Everyone else was gone and the airport was empty. I was the only one left waiting and was there alone for at least 30 minutes. So if you get stuck waiting, don't stress out, everything is probably fine.

Consulate Review: El Salvador
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 4, 2007
Embassy Review : The Salvadoran consulate has been a complete nightmare. They have made mistake after mistake through every step of the process. First, our initial packet 3 was either lost in the mail or never sent. Then, they forgot to put our name on the interview list. Then, they added it to the list but only got the case number right but with someone else's name. Each time it takes at least another month for them to finally get it right. Now they have approved our visa and supposedly issued it 2 days after the interview but we still haven't received it 3 weeks later and Cargo Expreso says that the embassy hasn't sent it yet. Get ready for some patience if you have to work with the Salvadoran Consulate.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
