Is your service center california or texas?

I believe all I-129f applications go to the California center

That's nice to hear! When was your DQ / latest notice date and priority date? I am doing a CR-1 (marriage visa) and have been waiting since 23 May for an interview at Abu Dhabi Embassy

Hi. We're K1 so there's no DQ. The notice date was July 28

Congratulations on your visa approval and so happy for you, I’m also from Dubai but still waiting for my NAO2 approval. It’s just nice to hear the Abu Dhabi USA embassy have resumed interview process. Good luck 👍🏻

Yes unfortunately seems like the petition approvals have slowed down so much lately. But once you get through the embassy process will be a lot quicker. Even with the backlogs we were were to get an interview schedule within 1.5 months of embassy reopening.

Congratulations! How was your experience? You must be so so happy. Christmas came early for you both. I wish you guys all the happiness! I wonder why K1 visas get through faster than CR1 (marriage based) visas though. I finished with the NVC stuff or NOA2 equivalent (DQ) back in 23 May and still haven't received an interview scheduled since embassy opening. Did they mention anything at the embassy about reduce staffing?

Hi there!! Thank you so much!! Yes we’re so relieved! The interview was really quick and easy. They just asked basic questions about the relationship (how did you meet, how do you communicate, what does he do etc). At first they only had K1 applicants here but then we saw families come in, but I’m not sure if they were CR1 or some other visa. I’m not sure how the interview scheduling works for CR1, but we booked our own interviews for k1. But you could email the embassy for an update if you already havent. They do respond most times and I have had a few back and forths with them when I was waiting for my packet 3 They only had 2 interviewers though, and it was 8 of us for K1. But they must have still finished with everyone in an hour. My interview appointment was at 8:30 and I was out by 9:15.

Oh wow, that sounds like a super easy process. Thank you for sharing! Congrats again :)

Congratulations! I’m glad you guys got it! We have almost the same timeline but yours somehow got approved much quicker than ours. We’re now waiting for the packet3 from the Abu Dhabi embassy then schedule an interview. Any tips for us? Looks like interview went pretty quickly. What documents did they ask for? So when are you planning to fly here in the US? Thank you and good luck!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
