Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 25, 2007
Embassy Review : I had my interview today. I arrived at the embassy at 7:45 for an 8am interview. Inside, I was first called to a window and the guy there had my file with the USCIS and NVC stuff. He asked me when I planned to travel and took figerprints of both hands. Then he tolded me to wait. After 20 min I was called for the interview they took fingerprints again of the right hand and took the oath. Then the lasy asked me when I got married and when I first met my wife? She said that everything was in order and I was approved but they require further processing because Shahid Khan is very common name. I asked her how long it was going to take because my UK visa is expiring on Nov 30. She said it can take anywhere from 4 days to 3 months. They will send the file back to washington. She said that she will put in a note to complete this processing in a hurry since my visa is expiring and as soon as I get cleared from washington they will call me to send my passport through courier service so they can grant me the visa.

I called DOS on 10th of dec 2007 and they told me that the embassy is going to contact me to send in my passport so they can issue the visa. They said my AP was cleared on Dec 6. Thank God!! We are so happy. Our AP lasted 26 days but it's all over and 14th of dec 2007 i sent my passport to embassy and got my visa on 18th of dec 2007 THANKS ALLAH PAK and Thanks everyone for your support

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
