Comments : I booked the medical appointment for the 22nd January and this was a week after receiving the letter containing the instructions. Although we have found the last month to be immensely anxiety provoking at times, it was actually a pretty smooth process. We have celebrated our reunion with a road trip home and have been binge watching '90 Day Fiance': a TV program which many legitimate couples going through this process may find reassuring. Best wishes and much love to everyone still waiting to start their happily every after together.

Got I551 Stamp : Yes
Green Card Received :
Comments : I accidentally filed the I-90: Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card on February 4th 2023...there is $540 I won't see again.

The I-751 receipt notice extended the validity period of my Green Card for 48 months from the date of expiration so until 3rd August 2027.

Following my N-400 interview on 25th July 2025, I got a notification on 28th July 2025 of lifting conditions on permanent residency but am advised not to travel (and may not be covered to work?). However, I have a wedding in a few weeks so now need a I-551 stamp. I applied for an appointment for this on 28th July 2025, booked it on 29th July 2025 & attended it on 31st July 2025 where they gave me an I551 stamp for one month (expiring 30th August 2025).

Oath Ceremony : 2025-08-26
Comments : I filed online and received a notice on the same day as the NOA that my previous biometrics would be reused so I didn't need to attend a biometric appointment.
I was initially given an interview date of 6th June 2025 which I couldn't attend so asked for a reschedule and was given 25th July 2025.

The interview was brief and the lady took our documents but did not review them so I was not approved at the interview. I got notification on 28th July 2025 of lifting conditions on permanent residency and oath ceremony scheduling (no date).

I was given a date of 12th August 2025 which I could not attend due to travel so this was rescheduled to 26th August 2025. My dad flew over 2 days earlier than his planned trip to be there with my husband and I for the ceremony. I took all documents but was asked for my approval notice and couldn't find it (I thought he meant for the green card but later realized he was probably asking for the approval of naturalization). The officer said it wasn't an issue and took my green card to complete checks and then they gave me my certificate. The 11am ceremony lasted for about 50 minutes and there was another ceremony coming in at noon so photos inside were limited but the ceremony was a lovely occasion, and acknowledged 54 new citizens from 35 countries, all of which were applauded.

I can't believe we made it to this point!! I am so glad for the guidance of this community along the way and wish everyone the best of luck in this very lengthy, costly and stressful journey. It does end one day!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
