Port of Entry : Chicago
POE Date : 2019-10-04
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Entered the US as a LPR for the first time in Chicago. I wasn't asked ANYTHING. The CBP officer just confirmed details (address, last 4 digits of social etc..) and stamped my CR-1 visa to validate it as a 1 year temporary green card. It was the fastest I have ever entered the US. All of my documents were electronic and i wasn't provided a package to give to CBP, so this may have had something to do with it, but I was amazed with the ease of entry. GREAT EXPERIENCE! :D

Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 24, 2019
Embassy Review : The interview at the consulate was extremely smooth. In contrast to my previous VISA interviews for studying in the US, I found the process to be seamless. It seemed as though those going through the immigration process got expedited through the consulate and didn't have to wait in lines with the other VISA categories.
The consulate officers that collected my documents and interviewed me were extremely professional and explained things very well. All in all I found the experience easy and simple.

My only critique was that on an extremely rainy day, the AC was extremely cold and made waiting to be seen a little uncomfortable.

There are a lot of scary review of consulates online, but I would say that those working in the London consulate try hard to calm those that are interviewing for their VISA's and don't 'unnecessarily frighten' them as I have seen others review. javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
