How did you get approved so fast by the USCIS? I also have a spouse from the Dominican Republic I am petitioning.

Hi I'm not really sure I was surprised that it was approved so fast. I petitioned for my five year old stepson in February hopefully that is a fast process as well. I work for the government,so my friends think that is a reason, but I doubt it. Good luck hopefully your process is fast

Potomac has been processing petitions within 90 days. I got an entire spreadsheet full of 90 day approvals.

hi! how long did it take to get a case number assigned after the NVC received your case?

One month for my husband three weeks for my stepson I filed for them 2 months apart

Thanks! Have you gotten an interview notice yet?

Thanks! Have you gotten an interview notice yet?

Thanks!

No ... I called yesterday and the agent said any day this week because I had to resubmit my husband's birthday certificate

Sorry for all the questions, I am petitioning my spouse and we are at the ceac step now. Therefore I wanted to ask did you submit all original docs in spanish or submitted translations as well with the package?

It's no problem ask me anything. I submitted everything in English except his police clearance, and my stepson and husband's birth certificate which was in Spanish, but when they requested my husband's long birth certificate they also requested my step son's birth certificate to be in original Spanish and translated in English which I already had so problem, and I complied. I asked why when the interview is in the DR then I was told to disregard the English version.

So I should submit in spanish original copies and forget the translations?
I need to ensure everything is submitted correctly to avoid delays given that I have a medical reason to expedite.

Spanish copies are fine just make sure to take the originals to the interview is what NVC told me when I called, and it's on the website.

Thanks! Good luck keep us posted as to when you get your interview. I heard it takes 21 days after case is complete

Thank you I will keep you posted and you do the same. I hope the interview is that soon the NVC agent told me Friday that Santo Domingo is moving pretty fast compared to other embassies that are averaging 2 months for interviews

Its all about following up with them ...even though is super hard getting through.

Hi! Quick question did you submit current paystubs with i864 - affidavit of support?

Yes and a letter from my employer because I was on OWCP from a job injury until this June

Thanks so current paystubs are only necessary if break in work?

I don't want to tell you wrong, but I think so because I was on OWCP for three years so I submitted the tax transcripts and the statement from the IRS stating my income was exempt from filing and they excepted everything

Thanks so current paystubs are only necessary if break in work?

Yes and if your last three tax transcripts are not above the poverty level

Have you heard anything yet?

As of August 28 my forms says accepted what about you

I requested to be expedited last week it was approved today🤗🤗🤗🤗

Omg just messaged you!!

Omg just messaged you!!

What were your reasons to request your case to be expedited? I can't find any reason why a case can be expedited; I would like to know just in case that me and my wife qualify to be expedited too.

My stepson is 6 and school has started

Hey , how you got your processed expedited?

My request was because school has started for my stepson
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
