Comments : At the border control desk they asked how long I intended to stay I answered I have a immigrant visa so permanently. the man politely asked me to follow him to a waiting room he passed my passport over the desk. I waited until they called my name they gave me some welcome papers and information and gave me back my passport. Then I went to collect my case and leave. It was very simple thehardest part was waiting in line before getting to the boarder control desk they were doing a refurb. Everyone was nice and polite.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 12, 2018
Embassy Review : I arrived at the embassy 30mins early and stood in a line at the door for interview letters and passports to be checked. Once the lady checked me off her list she pointed me to the door to enter. The first entry is like airport security you put your belongings in the tray and walk through the metal detector. I had a giant hand bag that had my whole paperwork file inside, my phone, iPad, purse, car keys sunglasses, and a bottle of water. They allowed all of that inside but asked me to take a sip of my water before thanking me. I then walked into a second building and straight to the main desk where they checked my visa type gave me a number and directed me to the waiting area. It was in the lift 1st floor exit the lift and make two left turns and wait there for my number to come on the screen.

The first time my number came up I went to the numbered window and handed in my passport, interview letter and courier letter.
The man asked to take my fingerprints then asked for my birth certificate, police certificate, marriage certificate and told me that my case is the new electronic filing and I will hear about a envelope but I am to ignore this as I do not need the envelope it will not come. He asked me when I plan to travel to USA and went through a checklist to ensure he had the documents he needed. He continued to politely tell me to sit back down and wait my number for a second time.
The second window my original certificates were returned to me the lady once again took my fingerprints, I was asked to swear I’m telling the truth then was asked very few questions....
How did you meet you husband?
When did you meet your husband?
If he has a house or apartment where I will live when I get there?
She explained that since I am waiting for my medical appointment they will keep hold of my passport and issue the visa after my medical.

EVERYONE was nice polite and happy
My interview time was 10am I got there 9.30 and left 10.45
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
