Comments : Consulate processing at Auckland is very organised and smooth- I had delays in receiving my visa as my medical was the day before I interviewed but the consulate was great, very accommodating and once they had everything it was completed quickly.

I got to my appointment about 10 minutes early- went through security and then waited to be seen. Met with B first where we went through everything I had mailed in- I was organised so she had everything she needed- she just needed my passport. She walked me through the yellow envelope and not to travel until status adjusted. Then I went to another window- paid the fee and was waiting for my interview.

During the interview with the consul officer he asked basics questions about myself, our relationship and my fiances family- nothing scary or crazy. This probably only took about 5 or 6 minutes and then we were done awaiting medical info.

All in all took me about an hour from when i got there.

Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Got through the first check really quick- the guy was polite and told me I would need to go to second processing- he called a guy to take me and my packet there.

The 2 officers there were understaffed for the demand- there was maybe 20 people in the room so wait time was a bit extreme.

I was probably in there for about an hour- my luggage was waiting for me downstairs all by itself. No hassles just a long time to wait.

The officer I met with though was clear in her instructions and just asked me a few clarifying questions to confirm the information and sent me on my way.

Comments : Very easy appointment conducted, we arrived on site early and went through the initial check in's. Very fast and efficient through that stage, once with the interviewing officer, he went through the file and reviewed everything to ensure it was provided. He asked if I had updated a medical which I had (it had been well over a year since the last one), he asked if I had a job (which I do and i gave him my contract), asked where we lived and how we met originally. Asked also general questions about when we got married, where my wife was born etc. Every question asked was more to validate the evidence provided and not to interrogate. We were both very relaxed in the appointment and were not separated at any time. He said we would be the easiest appointment of the day! I received the green card within 1 week of the interview.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
