I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Resident or Adjust Status)
Notice of Action: July 17, 2017 (As noted above concurrently applied for with I-130)
Biometrics Letter: July 22, 2017
Biometrics Completed: August 8, 2017
Interview Notice: Don't remember exactly as the I-797 was submitted along with all our docs after interview
Interview Completed: October 20, 2017

I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization)
Notice of Action: July 17, 2017
Biometrics Letter: July 29, 2017
Biometrics Completed: August 17, 2017
Approval: October 5, 2017 (As noted above EAD/AP combo card received)

Our early morning I-485 interview went well. I had been nervous going in to the interview as everyone would be but the IO was very polite and courteous and asked all the general questions you would expect. After the interview he congratulated us (I understand such words are not formal approval) and said we should be receiving an approval in the mail in approximately a week. While a different situation that's how long it took our friend who also recently filed (at a different office) so we were glad all went smoothly. We were actually surprised that the whole process up to that moment took a little over 3 months.

However it's been nearly 6 weeks and no sign of approval letter. I couldn't seem to get an InfoPass so I made an e-inquiry (selecting the option "Non-Delivery of Permanent Resident Card") and received a reply a week letter saying "We are still reviewing your case. Our records indicate that your application is in queue to be scheduled for a second follow-up interview. Please allow up to 120 days to receive the interview notice via mail at your address on file."

I've read here that some had to do additional interviews but what I don't understand is we never got a RFE (our documents were told to be sufficient) and the thing I'm most at a loss is my case status on USCIS website. Because this is what it states:

- I765: Card was mailed (which is correct / we received it)
- I131: Case was approved and will be mailed (which is correct / also received it (the combo card)
- I485: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview (NOT updated since August 14th which was way before we got the letter for our interview in Oct)
- I130: Case was received (NOT updated since July 12th but we already received the approval letter dated October 31)

Has anyone experienced this kind of a situation - what has actually been completed not matching what's said on the website??
