Comments : We were placed in AP due to missing birth certificate of his daughter, DR consulate failed to tell us on the interview day and they refuse to tell us anything until 60 days have passed. We submitted documents day after they told us and still took them almost 3 weeks to process they wanted us to wait another 60 days AGAIN. I emailed until they finally forwarded my case to the embassy and they informed me we had not submitted anything. I informed them we have receipt of submitting documents and also complained of the lack of attention they are giving our case and how negligent they were for not telling us about the missing document day of. I was traveling next week and informed them I wanted to speak to who ever was in charged and my fiancees visa was processed and handed to him a day later.

Event Description

Embassy Review : I felt lucky. I really did, my package arrived and I was able to pay the visa and schedule finger prints and interview date. The day of the interview everything was easy, boom APPROVED (white paper with instructions to pick up passport in 10 days was given). Then we were placed in AP..... 63 days later after me emailing the consulate daily and calling daily we are told there was a document missing. Fiancee then dropped of document 2 days late. Then nothing 2 weeks later. I emailed them and was instructed to wait 60 more days. Yeah 60 more days, to which I told them I already was past the 60 days and wanted to know if my documents were being processed, and was rudely told my document was not received, although I had proof from Galeria 360 of documents received!!!. Fast forward to almost 95 days after interview I asked for my email to be forwarded to the embassy and I was travelling there in a week and wanted to meet with the head personal in charge. Boy did that work! Visa was changed to non-immigrant next day and passport was ready to be picked up 2 days later.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
