Comments : Was a good experience.
Only took me an hour for interview.
Flew in from Cape Town.
Plane was delayed by half an hour. Got to Johannesburg and had to run for gautrain just made it in time for train.
Got to sandton and walked about 10min to embassy.
Got there just past 12. Waited outside until 1pm.
We went inside they keep your phone at security.
Went to sit until they called my number.
First Window she asked me my police clearance unabridged and passport. Asked for proof of relationship. Asked me to go pay around the corner .
Did that and was called to another window for fingerprints.
After that I went to sit waited maby 10min.then the American gentlemen called me. He asked me to raise my right hand.
So then asked me a few questions.

Where did you meet your fiance?
Where does he work?
What does he do for a living?
When did he come to the United States?
Where in Mexico is he from?
When are you planning to get married?
Are you planning a wedding in South Africa?
When he visited you did you travel?
He said everything seems to be fine. Your visa will be ready in 7 to 10 days.
Everything took maybe about an hour maybe less.
Had enough time to walk around and catch the train back to airport and catch my flight at 19:25.

Was a good experience.

Port of Entry : JFK
POE Date : 2016-11-20
Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Landed at JFK. Didn't wait that long. Was waiting in a line and an officer asked me a couple of questions took my fingerprints and told me to wait and he come back and said I must follow him. Has to leave my bags outside that I had on the plane. I sat on some chairs and waiting Maby 15min another officer called me over and stamped my passport and told me to go fetch my bags. When I collected my bags I had with me I went to go fetch my lagguge got it immediately after I left the room. Was standing in a line to go through customs they checked my bags and off I went to go to catch my last flight to Florida. Had lots of time. Checked in my bags again and went through the check point. They took my one hand luggage aside and checked it opened it up and went through it. But the lady that was doing it was really friendly told her all about my journey. She said good luck and helped me with my bag. Had to repack it but was a friendly experience. Went inside at the waiting area for my flight. Was sitting there probably 2hours waiting till I caught my last flight. Flight was about 3 hours I think. Finally got in fort Myers where my fiancé was waiting for me. Was a really nice experience

Comments : Was for the interview today for AOS in Fort Myers. Waited a bit didn’t know how long because my husband and I left our phones in the car and didn’t have watches on. We got called in by a friendly Lady. Had to give my passport and my husband gave his. She did my finger prints and was going through documents she had of mine and started asking me:
Full name
Place of birth
Mother and father full name
Where I stay
My husband’s full name and date of birth.
Do we have any kids together I said yes our baby girl but she past when I was 5 months pregnant she felt really bad for us. She was really nice saying not to give up hope and have faith we don’t understand why it happened but Maby in the future we will. We went on talking about our pets showed her some pictures from my album she even said I have a fat cat. We all laughed about it. She asked me for documents the is joint between my husband and I. Bills, health insurance, dental insurance, bank accounts and I had some other stuff. Gave her my baby’s death certificate and she took a couple of my pictures and made copies. I also went for my medical before the interview if you didnt do it when submitting your adjustment of status then do it. I did it and they where happy about it because I gave it and then she said I just wanted to ask you for it. So that was good. She told me everything looks good but it’s going under review and will let me know but it looks good she’s happy. I asked her about the removal in 2 years she explained and gave me a letter to sign and that was it. She said if it’s approved then will receive my greencard within 6 weeks. Had a really good experience and really friendly staff.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
