Embassy Review : I had my interview on May 2nd. The reviews on VJ were very helpful to know what to expect. The staff outside was very polite though pretty strict on what documents to present in what order etc (they are in "chop chop" mode).
My interview was at 8am but I arrived a bit before 7am and I was actually the first immigrant visa after going through security (most of the people come for non-immigrant visas, typically students and businessmen).
I was first called by an Asian lady who was really difficult to understand across the glass wall. I had to ask her to repeat several times as I did not want to miss a question. She took all my documents (passport, police certificate, birth certificate, photos).
I was called 20 mns afterwards for the interview. The officer was a very nice lady but she seemed a bit lost in the K1 process. She asked for the DS-230 that we do not fill anymore. She got my paperfile in front of her and flicked through it while asking the usual questions (where did you meet? what do you do for a living?...). She then asked her manager for some help as she could not find my file in her system, everything was sorted out when she input the DS-160 number. She said that she recommended the approval of my application and said congratulations. I was a bit nervous that she would not click on the right button but my case status was updated on CEAC website on the same day so it was all fine. I was out of the embassy just before 9am.

As I opted for picking up my visa at the depot I did not receive any email until almost a week after my visa was "Issued" on CEAC website. I actually called DX before that and they confirmed I could pop in to pick it up. So do call DX if you have not heard anything after your visa is issued.
Hope this will help. Good luck to all!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
