Consulate Review: Dominican Republic
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 23, 2013
Embassy Review : Since i just started a new job, I only had was allowed a day off. I arrived at Sto Dgo at almost 4AM, my fiance pocked me up & we went straight to the consulate. We arrived 15 minutes before 5AM. There were already abt 20 people in line. We here inside around 6;30AM we lefted te consulate before 10AM. We spend more time waiting to be called to the three separte windows than the time we spent at the windows. The interviews lasted abt 5 minutes, we were never separted. I wasn't ask for no documents at ALL, i was very suprised since at the time when i submit the petition i was on unemployment. I was asked in english & he was asked in spanish. The only question we were asked the same was when we started our relationship. He was asked who propose when & where and if he had family in the states. I was asked where we met how old we were at the time and if your families knew each other. Then the magic word, FELICIDADES SU VISA HA SIDO APROVADA!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
