Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Seattle
POE Date : 2013-06-13 Submit Review
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Only one guy on the desk in the special entry area, so I had to wait a while for him to get to me, even if there were only a family of 3 and a single lady in front of me(and he was also approving passengers in wheelchairs at the same time). I was told that in no way was I obliged to get married and if I wanted I could return home any time in the 90 days. There was a water fountain and restrooms in the area that you could use. When leaving the baggage area the customs guy was interested in what I had with me (3 huge bags including a bedding roll). But when he saw that I was immigrating he didn't cause me any problems. I did miss my connection, but to be honest, I knew I hadn't really left enough time to get it. I was able to get on another plane without any problems (Alaska Airlines, no extra charges).

POE Review: Seattle
Event Description
Entry Date : 2013-06-13
Embassy Review : When I got to the passport control I tried to find an I-94, but could only find the foreign language ones, so opted for the French form (English translation was on it) Then I queued up at the usual passport check point for a long time (I always manage to pick the slowest queue!) I was then escorted to another area (to the left as you look out towards the baggage area). Only one guy on the desk in this area, so I had to wait a while for him to get to me, even if there were only a family of 3 and a single lady in front of me(and he was also approving passengers in wheelchairs at the same time). I was told that in no way was I obliged to get married and if I wanted I could return home any time in the 90 days. There was a water fountain and restrooms in the area that you could use. Eventually I was approved with no problems, When leaving the baggage area the customs guy was interested in what I had with me (3 huge bags including a bedding roll). But when he saw that I was immigrating he didn't cause me any problems. I did miss my connection, but to be honest, I knew I hadn't really left enough time to get it. I was able to get on another plane without any problems (Alaska Airlines, no extra charges). So overall, no problems but it did take a long time, but who cares, they let me in!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
